Tony Gwynn Baseball Bat

Gallagher Square in PADRES petco PARK

Tony Gwynn’s replica bat and Bat Forest were commissioned as a part of the 2024 Gallagher Square overhaul, located at Petco Park - home of The Padres.

The climbable Tony Gwynn bat was made from a massive single White Oak tree, with final dimensions of nearly 16’L x 2’W. The bat forest located inside the kids area, consists of 13 upright bats, all individually made from solid white oak logs with varying heights up to 14’L.

As a kid who grew up in San Diego and got to watch Tony Gwynn play, this will go down as one of our most memorable commissions to date.
